From their humble roots to their mass production, valentines have changed over the years but their message of love is pretty much the same. On Tuesday, Feb. 11, Martha’s Vineyard Museum chief curator Bonnie Stacy will explore the history of giving valentines, and share examples of valentines from the museum’s collection at her upcoming talk titled Is it Not Love?

The talk begins at 5:30 p.m. at the museum on School street in Edgartown. Cost is $8 for members and $12 for nonmembers.
