With spring comes extra hours of daylight — and more library time. Starting March 1, the Edgartown Public Library will be open for 11 extra hours of service.

The library will be open on Mondays, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Tuesdays and Wednesdays it will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday the library will be open one extra hour, from 10 a.m. to 6. p.m. As always, the library will be closed on Sundays. Library employee Virginia Munro said the extend hours are in response to patron demand, evidenced by a survey. Longer evening hours will allow patrons to drop in after work, she said.
