The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court:
Cleiton Cavaleante (also Clayton C. Santos), 31, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on March 22 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, second offense, possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, failure to stop/yield, operating a motor vehicle with license suspended, registration not in possession and possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 8.
Danae A. Finley, 24, of Oak Bluffs, admitted to sufficient facts on a December 10 charge in Oak Bluffs of domestic assault and battery, continued without a finding for six months. Ordered to pay a $50 victim/witness assessment and a $50 monthly probation services fee.
Dakota Delviento, 20, of Oak Bluffs, had February 10 charges in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery and assault and battery with a deadly weapon (a water bottle) dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.
David Fournier, 52, of Vineyard Haven, had October 28 charges in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, third offense and operating under the influence of drugs, third offense dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.
Brian J. Lawlor, 33, of West Tisbury, admitted to sufficient facts on a March 6 charge in Chilmark of drunken driving, continued without a finding for one year. Ordered to pay $350 in fees and a $65 monthly probation services fee, to complete a 24 day driver alcohol education program and to lose license for 45 days. A responsible finding was filed on a marked lanes violation, and a charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle was dismissed upon request of the commonwealth. According to a police report filed in court, the charge stems from a motor vehicle crash on Middle Road in which the car came to rest on a stone wall.
