Mindy Todd, the popular voice and on-air host at public radio station WCAI, was honored recently with a community leadership award from the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod. This marks the first time the award has gone to a member of the media.

Ms. Todd is managing editorial director and host and producer of The Point, 90.1 WCAI’s award-winning public affairs program that airs discussion on critical issues for the Cape and Islands. The show has hosted numerous programs exploring issues around the arts, including making the arts accessible for people with disabilities, an exploration into how local artists of color’s experiences are reflected in their art and how their work is received in the region, and how the conductor of the Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra is working to attract a younger generation to classical music.

The award was presented to Ms. Todd by Senate president Therese Murray at the foundation’s seventh annual creative collaborative conference last month.
