Ward Just and Paul Schneider will be the featured speakers at a Speakeasy evening held at State Road Restaurant on May 14 to benefit the West Tisbury Library Foundation. The Speakeasy series has featured various authors and artists talking in a relaxed setting about their work.

Mr. Just is the author of 19 books, his most recent, American Romantic, was published in April. He has been nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in fiction, has been a finalist for the National Book Award, and won numerous National Magazine Awards. He began his career as a journalist and worked for Newsweek and the Washington Post throughout the 1960s.

Paul Schneider is the author of five books, including The Enduring Shore: A History of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket, Bonnie and Clyde: the Lives Behind the Legend, and, most recently, Old Man River: The Mississippi River in North American History.
