The Farm & Wilderness Foundation has hired Rebecca Thomas Geary as its executive director. Ms. Geary, currently with Buckingham Browne & Nichols School (BB&N) in Cambridge will join F&W this month. She will become F&W’s sixth executive director since it became a nonprofit organization nearly 40 years ago.

Ms. Geary brings a wealth of experience as a teacher, school administrator, camp professional and corporate executive. At BB&N, she has been the assistant director of studies, the interim co-director, and most recently the associate director of admissions. Previously, she was a Spanish teacher for middle school-aged students at the Oak Bluffs School, and a volunteer Spanish teacher at Montessori schools on the Vineyard, where she also directed an internationally themed summer day camp. She has a master’s degree in education from Lesley University.
