Dick Carlson of Vineyard Haven shot perfect rounds of skeet at the Martha’s Vineyard Rod & Gun Club earlier this month, dusting 25 straight targets for the first time with his 28-gauge shotgun. A round of skeet consists of 25 targets, or 25 x 25. Then, two weeks later he broke 100 targets with the 12-gauge shotgun. A game of skeet consist of four rounds of targets or 100 x 100. He now joins Mark Plante, making him only the second member of the club to shoot a perfect 100 game.

Mr. Carlson’s name will be engraved on the perpetual straight plaque in the clubhouse and he will be receiving a 25 and 100 custom skeet straight pin.
