The Martha’s Vineyard Shellfish Group will host its first annual benefit Art Show at the Tashmoo Spring Building in Vineyard Haven on July 18 and 19. The Tashmoo Spring Building overlooks the shores of Lake Tashmoo. The show will feature over 30 artists whose work was inspired by the Vineyard’s beautiful ponds and their inhabitants. The exibit open on Friday, July 18, at 5 p.m. with an evening of art and oysters. There will be a free raw bar at the event, with local oysters and quahogs.

On Saturday, July 19, the spring building will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission and parking are free. Fifty per cent of all sales will benefit the Martha’s Vineyard Shellfish Group and its efforts to produce oyster, scallop and quahaug seed to stock Vineyard ponds and clean the waters.
