Before you get all mimsy, take a gimble down Greenwood avenue in Vineyard Haven this weekend. Fan away the Jubjub birds, and when you get to the Tumtum tree you’re there. Good thing, too, because you’ll be just in time for Camp Jabberwocky’s first show of the summer, Something Frankenstein.

Camp Jabberwocky has been around for more than 60 years now and summer wouldn’t be summer without its productions. Every session the campers and staff combine their many talents to bring the community a live production that rivals the best of Broadway. You can bet this weekend’s performances will continue in that tradition.

Join the Camp Jabberwocky troupe on July 18 and 19 at 7:30 p.m. The entertainment is free, and it’s priceless. Best to go early for a good seat. A small reception in the main cabin follows both shows.

The camp hosts another, as of yet unnamed, performance on August 9, also at 7:30 p.m.

Camp Jabberwocky is located at 200 Greenwood avenue extension in Vineyard Haven.
