An update on our two abandoned kittens: they are growing, purring, playing and starting to slurp some gruel. It was a big week for them. Yay, Mary and Emily for bringing them along.

Our adult Maine coon cat has found her forever home. She is the only animal in the house and will be very happy to relax in peace. All but two of our kittens have found wonderful homes. There is still a brother and sister team left playing on the renaissance cat tower in the adoption room, along with Cody. If you are still interested in a kitten, fear not, we have several more litters on the way.

The shelter has taken in two more guinea pigs, Woody (dark brown) and Charlie (brown and white). These two boys are medium haired and are amazingly well handled. The lucky new owner will walk away with everything they need to house, feed and play with their new loving pets.

Dog Tails: our German shepherd puppy was adopted in about two minutes and we hope he comes for visits so we can see how he’s growing. We are also very glad that Teddy the Aussiedoodle has found a new home too.

The shelter has had it’s share of abandoned animals this summer. Please, please, please if you need to surrender your animal, call for an assessment and we will be happy to help you.

Shelter hours are Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays, 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The shelter is closed Sunday and Monday. The telephone number is 508-627-8662.
