The August crowds have gone, leaving space for a big, old-fashioned festival in downtown Oak Bluffs. The annual Tivoli Day celebration, which has been going on for over three decades, returns on Saturday, Sept. 13.

Each year Circuit avenue becomes a pedestrian thoroughfare, see ya later car traffic, and the sidewalks become outdoor eateries, with music on nearly every corner. The party runs from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Local favorites Phil DaRosa, DCLA and Johnny Hoy are on board, and so are the Nashville Hit Makers, in for the weekend to perform at Flatbread later on Saturday and conduct songwriting workshops.

There will also be a climbing wall, miniature pony rides, dancing, and food and more food.
