The IMP improv group is beginning its fall season. On Saturday, Oct. 4, from 1 to 4 p.m., IMP is holding a drop-in class at Alex’s Place at the YMCA for ages seven to 16. Bring a snack and your sense of play and see what unfolds.

If you decide IMP is a good fit, the school season is gearing up with workshops, classes and performances.

Kids in grades one to 12 have two options to learn the art of acting and improvisation. On Saturdays from 1 to 4 p.m., kids can come and play for the day with IMP play dates. The IMP company is there to help actors of all different experience levels play theatre and improv games. The after school classes are divided into classes according to age and experience. Each session ends with a performance on the stage at Alex’s Place.

All of IMP’s programs are held at Alex’s Place. Cost for the play dates is $30 in advance, and the after school session is $285 for 15 weeks.
