There are more than books at the West Tisbury library. Now there’s a seed library, too.

This fall a collaboration between the library, Island Grown Schools and the Farm Institute has led to a seed processing workshop to be held on Sunday, Nov. 16, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the library. You are invited to bring your favorite locally grown tomatoes, dried bean pods and dry lettuce flower stalks from healthy, open-pollinated plants so you can process them yourself. You can also bring any other type of seed you might like to enter into the new seed library catalog.
