Adult and Community Education of Martha’s Vineyard, also known as ACE MV, is launching its first annual appeal for donations.

The nonprofit organization offers career advancement and enrichment classes for Islanders that range in topic from car maintenance to essential math and English. Last year, Island towns voted to support administrative costs for ACE MV. According to a press release from the nonprofit, they need to raise an additional $45,000 through donations, grants and corporation underwriting.

ACE MV’s most recent class offerings include health care, information technology and landscaping certificate courses that are otherwise only available off-Island.
