Philip and Alleyne Hughes of Oak Bluffs are delighted to announce the engagement of their daugher, Taylor Alleyne Hughes, to Nicolas Carl Nelson, son of Peter and Kathleen Nelson of Mattapoisett. The couple plans to exchange their vows on Oct. 17 at the Old Whaling Church in Edgartown.
