On Saturday, May 16, we were blessed with another sunny, successful electronics disposal day here at Martha’s Vineyard Community Services.

We appreciate everyone who came out to help us raise funds for our programs. Thank you to the staff, the board, and the community for supporting our agency and for dumping their electronics responsibly. A heartfelt thank you to our sponsor, Bruno’s, and especially Scott Carroll, who truly put more than his fair share of energy into the day, helping us to streamline and organize prior to the event, as well as sticking with us all day long to ensure items were disposed of correctly.

Thank you as well to our incredible volunteers, including many of our fabulous staff and board members, their significant others, children and friends.

We would also like to send a special thank you to Heidi Feldman of Martha’s Vineyard Sea Salt for volunteering her time on Saturday as well as for her generous offer to provide customers who present their Electronic Disposal Day receipt with a 50 per cent discount at her West Tisbury Farmers’ Market booth.

We hope to see you at our next Electronics Disposal Day in the fall of 2015. Check back in March for the spring date. Start collecting those items — we will be here to reduce the clutter in an environmentally friendly way once again.

A huge thank you from the entire agency.
