Team orange has won the cat room competition. Nike has been adopted. Six-year-old black brothers, Bubba and Forrest, who comprised team black, are wondering when their time will come. They are indoor/outdoor cats who would be thrilled to go to a home together, but are not averse to being separated should their perfect matches arrive.

New arrivals at the shelter include a lovely black and white male, Linus, who arrived as a stray found on the Edgartown-Vineyard Haven Road. He’s about five months old and has the most lovely disposition and a big purr. His markings are striking and he loves to snuggle as well as play. Arriving at about the same time is Miss Kitty, a young, black and gray tabby found in Oak Bluffs. If anyone is missing these cats, please contact the shelter immediately.

The shelter also had a big surprise last week with the birth of two kittens from a cat who was about to be spayed. Mother and babies are thriving.

Senior citizens Daenerys, the sweet dilute calico, and Milo, the handsome, totally orange gentleman, are taking life easy. The adoption fee will be waived for anyone who has it in their heart to give either of them a home.
