A town committee formed last fall to study enhancements and future planning for Owen Park in Vineyard Haven will host a public meeting next week to share the results of its work.

The 1.7-acre park was identified as one of the town’s greatest treasures during the series of visioning workshops last year. The citizen committee has been working with the planning board and department of public works to document the physical condition of the harborfront park and its users. A set of goals have been drafted to guide future park maintenance and improvements.

The public meeting begins at 7 p.m. on Thursday Jan. 28 at the Tisbury senior center. The committee will present a short history of the park and share the results of a user survey. Facilitated discussion groups will follow the presentation.

All are welcome. For questions, please call the planning board office at 508-696-4270.
