There is a six- to seven-year-old female Plott Hound mix looking for a new forever home. Her owner unexpectedly passed away. Her name is Dewey, she has brindle coloring, and gets along with both cats and dogs. She is currently in a foster home so please contact the shelter if you would like to meet Dewey.

Winter has turned out to be a really sweet, affectionate teenage cat. She is nine months to a year old, gray with perfect white tuxedo markings and big green eyes. You would never know she came in as a stray from an abandoned colony. This girl adores being with people and would be a wonderful addition to any home. Stop by and meet her. Maybe she could be your Valentine this year.

Our honey of a bunny, Mel, is still hoping to find his forever home soon. He’s a big white neutered male who is only a year old. He’s lop-eared; one ear stands up and the other flops down, and those ears and his eyes are brindle. Mel is very friendly and enjoys attention. Stop in and meet him to see if he could be your honey bunny.

And Happy Groundhog Day to everyone. Here’s hoping that Punxsutawney Phil didn’t see his shadow this morning and spring actually is right around the corner.
