It really is kitten season. Two more orphaned kitten arrived last weekend. These two are about four weeks old and have joined the older kittens and their moms. Thank you to the special angel who was able to capture them and then took them to the vet before surrendering them. Between three sets of orphans, Tess and Molly’s litters and Wilma’s babies there are 13 kittens! The kitten list is long and growing so if you’re interested in a kitten please call the shelter to have your name added.

Two older male calico guinea pigs have joined us. Lucky has a white blaze on his face and a white ruff, while Maple has a maple-colored face. Both are hand-raised and adore people and affection. Guinea pigs love and need attention so even if you’re not in the market for a piggy please stop in to provide some petting. They will most likely serenade you, then who knows what might happen.

Our special on tuxedos is still on. Surely someone must want to own their own tuxedo cat? We currently have two used ones available. Mr. Kitty is the youngest at eight and is really more black and white than tuxedo. He’s a sweet and affectionate cat and will shower his new family with love. Chloe is 10 and has a totally black face but cute white toes. She is coming out of her shell and has turned into an affectionate lap cat. Come in and see if one of these tuxedos is just your size.

Holly, the five-year-old tabby, is now residing in the kitty condo where she’s more comfortable. She can be somewhat standoffish and likes to set her own boundaries and rules so she will need an understanding owner who won’t push her buttons. Is there an angel out there for Holly, someone who can find it their heart to give this girl a home?
