Special Olympics Massachusetts has announced that the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School, already a Special Olympics Unified Champion School, is receiving national banner recognition for its efforts to provide inclusive sports and activities for students both with and without disabilities.

It is one of 16 schools in Massachusetts to receive the honor this year, reflecting the school’s determination to meet national standards of excellence in the areas of inclusion, advocacy and respect.

An award presentation, at which the school will be presented with a banner to hang, will take place at a later date.
