On Sunday, Nov. 12, the Martha’s Vineyard Film Society will screen Mending the Line in honor of Veterans Day and as a fundraiser for new affordable housing for Island veterans.

Mending the Line follows the story of a wounded veteran finding friendship and healing through fly fishing. The feature will be preceded by two short films and followed by a discussion facilitated by Richard Paradise and including Island Housing Trust chief executive officer Philippe Jordi, veteran chaplain David Berube and his service dog Vegas, veteran Paul Schultz and retired colonel Mark Leonard.

Tickets for the 4 p.m. screening at the Martha’s Vineyard Film Center cost $20 and are available at mvfilmsociety.com or at the door.
