Stuart F. Randolph Was Veteran of World War II

Stuart F. (Pat) Randolph of Dorchester and Boston died Thursday, Nov. 14, at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. He was the son of Merrill Thomas and Margaret Randolph; she was the eldest Wampanoag tribal member at the time of her death in May 2001.

Stuart was born March 17, 1925 in Oak Bluffs. He was a World War II Army veteran. He was a friend and companion of 30 years to Arlene Lopes, and a devoted father of Debra Whitehurst and her husband, Stanley, of Salem, and Kathy Thorton and her husband, Jeffrey, of Mattapan. He is also survived by eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Stuart F. Randolph Jr., and his brother, Walter Randolph.

A graveside service was held in Oak Grove Cemetery, Oak Bluffs officiated by the Rev. Arlene Bodge.
