Marjorie Shapiro died peacefully in New York city on Nov. 8, after a courageous struggle with brain cancer. She was the loving wife of the late Jerome Shapiro and a loving mother to Jeffrey, Jill and E. Noach (Eric). She was a proud grandmother to Daniel, Laurie, Samuel, Eliana, Ziva and Eran. All will miss her. She was a good friend to many and a joy to those around her, radiating her love of music and life.
She was laid to rest at Abel's Hill Cemetery in West Tisbury on Nov. 10, next to her beloved husband of more than 40 years. A memorial service was held in New York city on Nov. 17. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association, 2720 River Rd., Des Plaines, IL 60018.
