Carl Victor Peterson 2nd Was Landscape Architect

Carl Victor Peterson 2nd of Edgartown died at his home April 8, at age 50.

Known as Vic, Mr. Peterson was born in Elizabeth, N.J. on Oct. 9, 1952 to the late Carl Victor and Betty (Edwards) Peterson. He grew up in Berkeley Heights, N.J. and graduated from Berkeley Heights High School. He attended Rutgers University studying landscape architecture.

Mr. Peterson moved to Martha's Vineyard in 1998 and worked on the Island as a landscape architect.

He is survived by his son, Carl Victor Peterson 3rd of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a daughter, Holly Peterson of Dublin, Ireland; one sister, Susanne Ashfield of Brick, N.J. and his girlfriend of 15 years, Denise Norris of Point Pleasant, N.J.

A memorial service will be held at the Faith Community Church, Meeting House Road, Edgartown on Tuesday, April 15 at 5 p.m. A service in New Jersey is being planned. Further information is available at 508-693-1495.
