Nancy McCormack, 75, Was Native of Edgartown

Nancy (Look) McCormack, 75, of Brockton, died in the evening on Tuesday, May 17 at home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Andrew W. McCormack for 49 years. She was born in Edgartown on July 30, 1929, a daughter of the late C. Stetson and Agatha (Worden) Look.

She resided in Brockton for over 45 years. She was employed as a receptionist at Brockton Hospital and later as a teacher aide at Raymond School in Brockton. She enjoyed dancing in her younger years and was an avid sports fan of the Boston home teams.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by five children, Dukes County sheriff Michael McCormack of West Tisbury, Elaine Sands of Brockton, Andrea Gasse of Oldsmar, Fla., Cathy Jones of Bridgewater and Nancy McCormack of Brockton; three sisters and two brothers, Barbara Lee of Reidsville, N.C., former Dukes County sheriff Christopher (Budd) Look Jr. of Edgartown, Estey Teller of Edgartown, Leslie (Tarzie) Carroll of Vineyard Haven and Huntington Beach, Calif. and Peter Look of Edgartown; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Following cremation, her memorial service will be on Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main street in Brockton. Private interment will be at a later date.
