Ann Macy Taylor

Ann Macy Taylor, wife of William Davis Taylor, the former publisher of The Boston Globe, died peacefully at her home in Westwood on Jan. 12 after a long illness, with family at her side. She was 86.

She will be missed for her humor, her love of the outdoors and her great affection for animals. She is survived by her four children, Thomas Macy Taylor of Edgartown, Margaret Taylor Kane of New Haven, Conn., Wendy Taylor Patriquin of South Natick, James Morgan Taylor of York, Me.; stepchildren Anna Taylor Caleb of Rutland, Vt. and William O. Taylor of Boston, 10 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and her beloved dog Tucker, a companion of exceptional character and service.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
