Lori Camille Parker-Lockridge died June 6 with her family by her side in Ft. Myers, Fla. She was 43.

Lori was born Jan. 21, 1968, in Fairfax, Va. to Robert S. Parker Jr. and Gail V. Sanders.

She graduated from Madison County High School in 1986. While living on the Vineyard she attended college at the University of Massachusetts where she graduated with highest honors. She later earned a master’s degree in psychology and education from Tufts University.

Lori enjoyed working with children, gardening, reading and volunteering at local animal shelters.

Her bright spirit and wonderful sense of humor will be greatly missed by many.

She is survived by her husband, Blair Scott Lockridge of Knoxville, Tenn.; her mother Gail Sanders and stepfather Cary Sanders of Madison, Va.; her father Robert S. Parker Jr. and stepmother Pamela Parker of Sedona, Ariz.; maternal grandmother Marcella Hanson of Rehoboth Beach, De.; sisters Kris (Parker) Long of Suffolk, Va. and Ananda (Sanders) Frazier of Waynesboro, Va.; nieces Madelyn and Kyla Frazier and nephew Zachary Frazier of Waynesboro, Va.

At her request, no service will be held.
