Martha J. Mansfield of Foxborough, a former resident of Falmouth, died Oct. 29 after a battle with cancer. She was 67.

She was the longtime partner of Richard Cahoon, who died in 2013.

The daughter of the late Richard and Evelyn Mansfield, Ms. Mansfield was born on Martha’s Vineyard. She moved with her family to Falmouth in 1963 and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1965.

She worked for the Steamship Authority in Woods Hole after graduating high school. After briefly attending business school in Boston, she went to work for New England Telephone Company when she was 23. She would work there until her retirement in 2001.

A fan of the New England Patriots, Ms. Mansfield also enjoyed watching her nephews play football at Falmouth High School.

She leaves two brothers, Kenneth Mansfield of Imperial, Calif., and Robert Mansfield of Falmouth; a sister, Dorothy Marshall of Falmouth, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held Saturday, Nov. 8, at Waquoit Congregational Church in East Falmouth.
