The tree in Healey Square will be lit at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26 with the holiday lights going on in Ocean Park simultaneously. Santa will make an appearance at the tree lighting, arriving by fire truck.
Christmas in Edgartown
Edgartown gets a holiday makeover during Christmas in Edgartown, an annual weekend festival on Martha's Vineyard. Sponsored by the Edgartown Board of Trade, the celebration features the annual lighting of the Edgartown Lighthouse on Friday night, followed by a festive parade down Main Street on Saturday. Local merchants open their doors for sales and holiday cheer, and various special events raise funds for islandwide charities. Dates for the 2019 Christmas in Edgartown are Thursday, Dec. 12 to Sunday, Dec. 15.
