Town of Edgartown

INVITATION FOR PROPOSALS:

The Town of Edgartown is seeking proposals from eligible and qualified architectural/ engineering firms, currently registered in Massachusetts, to conduct a condition assessment and feasibility study to determine whether to upgrade the existing Fire Station Building or build a brand new facility.

The scope of work will include an evaluation of present site conditions (including but not limited to: mechanical systems, electrical systems and fire protection systems) and the development of conceptual plans and budgets for renovating the existing fire station, and/or possible construction of a new joint (Police and Fire) public safety facility. There is no existing building program.

The anticipated completion date for the study is July 1, 2019. This RFQ shall be governed by the designer selection law, M.G.L. c. 7C, §§44-57. The Designer’s fee will be negotiated; the not-to-exceed fee limit is $50,000. All applicants must submit in conformance with the Request for Qualifications documents which are available in hard copy at the Town Procurement Office (70 Main Street) or electronically by contacting jmulinare@edgartown-ma.us. In order to be considered eligible, Prospective Proposers must attend a mandatory site visit on Thursday, February 28th, 2019 at 10:00AM. Prospective Proposers who are unable to attend a site visit on the above mentioned date and time must contact the Chief Procurement Officer (508-627-6185) at least 24 hours in advance to schedule an alternative site visit. Responses to the RFQ will be received by the Town of Edgartown Procurement Office until 12:00PM on Friday, March 8th, 2019 at which time they will be publicly opened and recorded. No proposals will be accepted after the time and date noted.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

On Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 5:45PM, the Edgartown Planning Board will hold a public hearing in the Town Hall, Main Street, on the request of Doug Hoehn, SBH, Inc., on behalf of 18 Caleb Pond, LLC, Owner, for a special permit, to remove existing dwelling and construct new dwelling in the Inland Zone of the Coastal District on a pre-existing, non-conforming lot.
