Joins Endowment

Andria Jason has joined the Permanent Endowment for Martha’s Vineyard as their new foundation manager. She will be handling all administrative responsibilities for the endowment and assisting the board in bringing charitable resources to Island nonprofits and students.

“We are excited to have Andria join our team to help the Permanent Endowment continue its mission to connect people who care to the causes that matter in our community,” said Anne Williamson, board chair. “Her passion for service, excellence and innovation will be tremendous assets to the endowment.”

Originally from Chilmark, Ms. Jason returns to the Island from Virginia with over a decade of experience working in education and business. She has a personal connection with the Permanent Endowment, having received two scholarships that were applied toward her achievement of a bachelor’s degree in marine affairs from the University of Rhode Island. She also earned a master’s degree in organizational development from Marymount University, where she served as the assistant director for international student services, advocating for the needs of that student population.

Ms. Jason will be engaged with the Island community through her volunteer activities and involvement with the Permanent Endowment. “We know the Vineyard, as well as the endowment, will benefit from Andria’s return,” said Ms. Williamson.

The Permanent Endowment is the Island’s community foundation. Established in 1982, its resources are focused exclusively on addressing the needs of the Vineyard. With more than $7.3 million in assets, the endowment provides grants to nonprofit organizations and funds scholarships for Vineyard students.
