The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.
Dylan Seder, 17, of Portland, Me., had a July 16, 2011 charge of breaking and entering for misdemeanor dismissed on request of the commonwealth.
Martin J. Kelly, 37, of Edgartown, had an Oct. 12 charge of possessing class E drugs in Edgartown dismissed on request of the commonwealth.
Michael J. Medeiros, 43, of Edgartown, had a June 2006 charge of identity fraud dismissed on request of the commonwealth.
Emily B. Billing, 29, of Vineyard Haven, pleaded not guilty to Nov. 13 charges of drunken driving, leaving the scene of property damage, and driving the wrong way on a state highway in Vineyard Haven. Pretrial hearing set for Feb. 24.
Jason C. Cournoyer, 17, of Edgartown, arraigned for leaving the scene of property damage on Nov. 15 in Oak Bluffs. Pretrial hearing set for Feb. 27.
Michael Brand, 57, of Edgartown, arraigned for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (shod foot) on Jan. 28 in Edgartown. Bail set at $400, pretrial hearing set for Feb. 10.
Matthew C. Townes, 34, of Johnstown, N.Y., pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and using a motor vehicle without authority on Jan. 28 in Vineyard Haven, ordered to pay $150 in fines. According to the police report, he and two friends refused to get out of a cab at the Steamship Authority. When the cab driver walked over to a police officer to report the incident, the report said, Mr. Townes drove the cab away, and was stopped by police at the Five Corners intersection.
Patrice A. Carter, 61, of Edgartown, arraigned for shoplifting by asportation, third offense, on Nov. 17 in Edgartown. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Feb. 21.
Christopher M. Gilmore, 24, of Southwick, will have charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest on Jan. 1 in Oak Bluffs dismissed if he completes eight hours of community service and pays $50 in restitution.
