The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

March 30

Cory J. Rosa, 36, of New Bedford, arraigned on March 29 charges in Oak Bluffs for possessing to distribute class B drugs (Percocet) and conspiracy to violate drug laws. According to the police report, police executed a search warrant at Surfside Motel and found Mr. Rosa with four prescription pill bottles in his name and Percocet and cash on his person. Bail was set at $2,000, pretrial hearing set for April 6.

April 4

Michael B. Willard, 30, of Edgartown, arraigned on charges of drunken driving, marked lanes violation, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle on April 4 in Oak Bluffs. Pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 21.

April 6

Christopher S. Francis, 37, of Vineyard Haven, pleaded guilty in two separate cases of violating an abuse prevention order, one charge on March 8 in Oak Bluffs and another on March 9 in Edgartown. Sentenced to two years in a house of correction, concurrent on both counts, with 54 days of credit for time served.

Eugene D. Brice, Jr., 47, of Oak Bluffs, had a Feb. 10 Vineyard Haven charge of drunken driving dismissed upon request of the commonwealth, and pleaded guilty to a charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Placed on probation for two years and ordered to pay $300 in fines, a $65 monthly probation fee for six months and a $50 monthly probation services fee for the remaining year and a half. Ordered to remain alcohol free with screens for six months, undergo alcohol evaluation treatment as mandated by probation, and to perform 24 hours of community service.

Michelle O’Donnell, 26, of Vineyard Haven, was placed on pretrial probation for six months for Feb. 7 Oak Bluffs charges of assault and battery, with the condition that she stay away from the alleged victim.

Anthony A. Foster, 41, of Edgartown, arraigned on April 2 charges of violating an abuse prevention order in Edgartown. An April 27 pretrial hearing was scheduled, and he was ordered not to contact the alleged victim.

April 9

Edilton Guerra, 35, of Edgartown, arraigned for assault and battery and two charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on April 8 in Vineyard Haven. According to the police report, he allegedly hit his girlfriend’s mother with his hand, kicked her with a shod foot and hit her with a broken rake handle. Bail was set at $500 surety, he was ordered not to abuse the alleged victim, and a pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 3.

Nikolas R. Harrington, 33, of Edgartown, arraigned on an April 7 charge of disorderly conduct in Edgartown. Pretrial hearing was scheduled for April 13.
