The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

June 27

Riley Dobel, 24, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on June 28 charges in Oak Bluffs of aggravated assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (shod foot). According to a police report filed in court, Mr. Dobel allegedly kicked a person in the head, breaking the victim’s jaw and orbital lobe. Bail was set at $1,000 surety and a pretrial hearing was scheduled for July 24.

Fillipi J. Gomes, 22, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on June 27 charges in Edgartown of disorderly conduct and two counts of assault and battery. According to a police report filed in court, Mr. Gomes allegedly tried to put one person in a headlock and punched another person in the back of the head. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for August 8.

June 30

Joseph E. Gibalski, 29, of Tucson, Ariz., admitted to sufficient facts on a June 29 charge in Oak Bluffs of disorderly conduct, continued without a finding for three months. Ordered to pay $50 monthly probation services fee, $100 in court costs and a $50 victim/witness assessment fee. A charge of assault and battery was dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

Terrance P. Grannis, 28, of Edgartown, will have a June 13 charge in Edgartown of disorderly conduct dismissed if $100 in court costs is paid forthwith.

Daniel C. Moraga, 32, of Falmouth, was arraigned on June 29 charges in Edgartown of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with license suspended for drunken driving and a marked lanes violation. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for July 28.

Zachary Peterson, 22, of Whitinsville, will have a June 29 charge of disorderly conduct dismissed if $50 in court costs is paid forthwith.

July 3

Maurice A. Abisdid-Wagner, 24, of South Boston, had a May 23 charge in Oak Bluffs of intimidating a witness/juror/police/court official dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

William B. Bailey, 32, of Edgartown, admitted to sufficient facts on a May 25 charge of possession of a class A drug (heroin), ordered to enroll in and complete New Paths program, undergo a mental health evaluation, pay a $50 monthly probation services fee for one year and a $50 victim/witness assessment fee. According to a police report filed in court, Mr. Bailey allegedly overdosed on heroin in his automobile which was parked on Seaview avenue. Upon searching his vehicle, police allegedly found a brown powder substance consistent with heroin.

Zachary A. Dupon, 18, of Oak Bluffs, will have a May 14 charge in Oak Bluffs of possessing a class A drug (heroin) dismissed if $100 in court costs is paid by July 16.

Anthony J. Mello, 42, of Hopkinton, was arraigned on July 3 charges in West Tisbury of drunken driving and possessing an open container of alcohol (vodka) in a motor vehicle. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for August 4.

Mark A. Moreis, 55, of Oak Bluffs, admitted to sufficient facts on an August 2013 charge in Oak Bluffs of larceny over $250, continued without finding for six months. Ordered to pay $300 in restitution. According to a police report filed in court, Mr. Moreis allegedly stole money from a purse at the Ritz Cafe.
