The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

March 18

Aaron J. Blake, 27, of Oak Bluffs, found not guilty in a bench trial on an April 2014 charge in Edgartown of drunken driving. Found guilty in a bench trial on a charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, placed on probation for two years. Ordered to pay $300 in fees and a $65 monthly probation services fee for one year, $50 monthly for the second year if there are no problems. Found not responsible in a bench trial/hearing on a charge of speeding.

Travis S. Macomber, 28, of Edgartown, placed on nine months of pretrial probation on August 28 charge in Edgartown of assault and battery, ordered to stay 100 yards away from/not to contact the alleged victim

March 23

Kenneth A. Davey, 55, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned on March 22 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving third offense and possessing a class C drug (Valium). Pretrial hearing scheduled for April 24.

March 26

William S. Little, 68, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on March 25 charges in Vineyard Haven of two counts of assault and battery on a family/household member. Pretrial hearing scheduled for May 15.

March 30

Troy A. Maciel, 43, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on March 29 charge in Oak Bluffs of violating an abuse prevention order. Pretrial hearing scheduled for May 22.

Jasmine L. Reis, 24, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned on March 29 charge in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery on a family/household member. Pretrial hearing scheduled for May 1.

Michael W. O’Donoghue, 24, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned on a March 28 charge in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving second offense and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Pretrial hearing scheduled for May 1.

April 2

Reinaldo (also known as Renaldo) B. Barbosa, 35, of Edgartown, had an August 16 charge in Oak Bluffs of armed burglary dismissed upon request of the commonwealth (insufficient evidence). Pleaded guilty on a charge of violating an abuse prevention order, 230 days in a house of correction deemed served.

Reinaldo (also known as Renaldo) B. Barbosa, 35, of Edgartown, pleaded guilty on an August 16 charge in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery on a family/household member, sentenced to one year in a house of correction, suspended two years and placed on probation for two years, ordered to complete a batterers program, to remain alcohol free with screens, and to pay a $250 batterers fee, a $50 victim/witness assessment fee, and a $65 monthly probation services fee.

Reinaldo (also known as Renaldo) B. Barbosa, 35, of Edgartown, pleaded guilty on an April 26 charge in Oak Bluffs of threat to commit a crime, placed on probation for six months, concurrent with other charge, and ordered to pay a $50 victim/witness assessment fee.

Emmett Cook, 21, of Edgartown, pleaded guilty to a Feb. 6 charge in Oak Bluffs of possessing to distribute a class A drug (heroin), sentenced to 18 months in a house of correction, suspended two years and placed on probation for two years. Ordered to remain drug free with screens, to submit a DNA sample, to have level three probation sanctions, and to reside at a sober house until amicably discharged. Ordered to pay a $150 drug analysis fee and a $90 victim/witness fee and to forfeit $568. Charges of possessing a class C drug (Clonazepam) and conspiracy to violate drug law were dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

Antony C. Matute-Buenano, 20, of Ridgefield, Conn., arraigned on April 1 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, motor vehicle lights violation, possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and a person under 21 possessing liquor. Pretrial hearing scheduled for May 4.

April 3

William A. Farrissey, 24, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned on a Dec. 26 charge in Vineyard Haven of assault and battery. Pretrial hearing scheduled for May 8.

Brett Geddis, 24, of Edgartown, arraigned on Jan. 22 charges in Vineyard Haven of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of property damage and malicious destruction of property more than $250. Pretrial hearing scheduled for April 24.

Keilla L. Geddis, 19, of Vineyard Haven, placed on one year of pretrial probation on a Sept. 12 charge of assault and battery in Vineyard Haven, ordered not to abuse the alleged victim.

Keilla L. Geddis, 19, of Vineyard Haven, admitted to sufficient facts on a Nov. 22 charge in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery on a public employee, continued without a finding for one year. Ordered to remain alcohol free with screens, to continue counseling until professionally discharged, and to pay a $50 victim/witness assessment fee and a $65 monthly probation services fee.

Suzanne S. Koorse, 60, of Edgartown, had a June 25 charge in Edgartown of drunken driving dismissed upon request of the commonwealth (insufficient evidence). Found not responsible on a charge of marked lanes violation.
