The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

Sept. 25

Bojan Balaban, 26, of Oak Bluffs, will have August 3 charges in Oak Bluffs of two counts of assault and battery dismissed upon request of the commonwealth, failure of alleged victim to cooperate.

Edinardo Dossantos, 23, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on a Sept. 24 charge in Edgartown of assault and battery on a family/household member. A pretrial hearing was continued to Nov. 5.

Oct. 1

Jane C. Post, 56, of Acton, was arraigned on Sept. 29 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, second offense, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and marked lanes violation. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Nov. 6.

Nildo Ventura, 43, of Edgartown had an August 2 charge in Edgartown of assault and battery on a family/household member dismissed upon request of the commonwealth, insufficient evidence to proceed after alleged victim asserts marital privilege. Oct. 9 Brigelle M. Gibson, 29, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on Oct. 5 charges in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and marked lanes violation. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Nov. 20.

Oct. 16

William R. Crabtree 2nd, 54, of Vineyard Haven, was placed on two years of probation on a March 6 charge in Vineyard Haven of assault and battery, ordered to pay a $50 victim/witness assessment fee, to stay away from the alleged victim and to engaged in counseling as mandated by probation. A charge of resisting arrest was dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

William R. Crabtree 2nd, 54, of Vineyard Haven had a March 21 charge in Vineyard Haven of violating an abuse prevention order dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

William R. Crabtree 2nd, 54, of Oak Bluffs, admitted to sufficient facts on a July 25 charge in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, continued without a finding for one year. Ordered to pay $600 in fees and a $65 monthly probation services fee, to complete a 24-day driver alcohol education program and to lose license for 45 days. A charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle was dismissed upon request of the commonwealth and found not responsible on charges of possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, and no inspection/sticker.

Corey S. Cross, 24, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on Oct. 11 charges in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, marked lanes violation, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Dec. 4.

Charles Day, 50, of Edgartown, will have a July 1 charge in Edgartown of negligent operation of a motor vehicle dismissed on recommendation of the probation department if $500 in costs is paid forthwith.

Dwayne Graham, 26, of Chilmark, was arraigned on Oct. 4 charges in Vineyard Haven of two counts of assault and battery on a family/household member. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Oct. 23.

Michael J. Maynard, 25, of West Tisbury, pleaded guilty on an August 19 charge in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, second offense. Sentenced to 90 days in a house of correction, suspended two years and placed on probation for two years. Ordered to complete a 14-day inpatient program and aftercare and to pay $350 in fees and a $65 monthly probation services fee. A charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle was dismissed upon request of the commonwealth and found not responsible on a charge of possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

Gregory M. Mooney, 20, of Mashpee, was arraigned on May 20 charges of two counts of statutory rape of a child and a May 23 charge of reckless endangerment of a child, all in Vineyard Haven. Bail was set at $10,000 and a pretrial hearing scheduled for Nov. 5.

Daniel O’Connor, 47 of Oak Bluffs, will have an August 10 charge in Oak Bluffs of disorderly conduct, subsequent offense dismissed if $300 in costs is paid by Nov. 18.

Dylan Seder, 21, of Vineyard Haven, was placed on one month of pretrial probation on May 24 charges in Vineyard Haven of disorderly conduct and assault and battery.
