The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

April 15

Jacob S. Bassett, 42, of West Tisbury, was arraigned on April 11 charges in West Tisbury of assault and battery, assault with a dangerous weapon (samurai sword) and disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $500 and a pretrial hearing scheduled for May 13.

Jacob S. Bassett, 42, of West Tisbury, was arraigned on April 12 charges in Edgartown of assault and battery on a correctional facility employee and intimidating a witness/juror/police/court official. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 13.

Spencer R. Booker, 21, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on April 9 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, speeding, and possessing ammunition without an FID card. Bail was set at $500 and a pretrial hearing scheduled for May 23.

Jacob T. Lewis, 19, of Edgartown, was arraigned on April 10 charges in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery and strangulation or suffocation. Bail was set at $2,500 surety and a pretrial hearing scheduled for May 2.

Maggie E. Lindland, 22, of Edgartown, was arraigned on April 10 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, marked lanes violation, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and speeding in violation of special regulation. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 26.

April 22

Richard A. Campbell, 39, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on a Feb. 11 charge in Vineyard Haven of malicious destruction of property less than $250 (door). A pretrial hearing was scheduled for June 10.

Milan Grbovic, 24, of Oak Bluffs, will have a Sept. 1, 2013 charge of trespassing in Oak Bluffs dismissed if 16 hours of community service are completed by June 22.

Michael J. McCarthy, 50, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on April 18 charges in Vineyard Haven of threat to commit a crime and criminal harassment. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 12.

Anna M. Smith, 22, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on April 20 charges in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, speeding in violation of special regulation, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 27.

Chelsea C. Vonmehren, 24, of Edgartown, pleaded guilty on Jan. 16 charge in Edgartown of assault and battery, amended from assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Sentenced to 30 days in a house of correction, deemed served.

Priscilla J. Warren, 63, of Oak Bluffs, was placed on one year of pretrial probation on March 16 charges in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (walking stick) and assault and battery on a family/household member, ordered to remain in the care of a physician and to follow treatment plan.
