The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

July 15

Gilberto Costa, 33, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on July 14 charge in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, and possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Sept. 1.

July 18

Sean Deal, 38, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on July 15 charges in Edgartown of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and threat to commit a crime. Bail set at $500 and pretrial hearing scheduled for July 15.

Abbey D. Harlow, 30, of Wallingford, Vt., was arraigned on July 17 charges in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, obstructing an emergency vehicle, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Sept. 12.

Megan Laverty, 31, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on July 16 charge in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery. Pretrial hearing scheduled for August 25.

William S. Sanfilippo, 51, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on July 15 charge in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery. Pretrial hearing scheduled for August 19.

John J. Tripp, 22, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on July 17 charges in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, second offense, marked lanes violation, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and speeding in violation of special regulation. Pretrial hearing scheduled for August 22.

July 21

Fabian N. Alexander, 37, of Oak Bluffs, had a June 3, 2015 charge in Edgartown possessing to distribute a class B drug (cocaine) dismissed upon request of the commonwealth. A motion to suppress evidence was allowed.

Shanice A. Bailey, 21, of Chilmark, had June 8 charges in Chilmark of assault and battery and assault with a dangerous weapon (steak knife) dismissed upon request of the commonwealth, alleged victim asserts fifth amendment privilege.

Elliot G. Bilzerian, 25, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on May 29 charges in Vineyard Haven of malicious destruction of property more than $250 and larceny more than $250. According to a police report filed in court, charge stems from missing or damaged items in a rental house Pretrial hearing scheduled for Sept. 1.

Joseph L. Bourne, 29, of Waldorf, Md., admitted to sufficient facts on July 16 charge in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, continued without a finding for one year. Ordered to pay $600 in fees and $65 monthly probation service fee, to complete 24-day driver alcohol education program and to lose license for 45 days. Charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle dismissed upon request of the commonwealth and found not responsible on failure to stop/yield.

Anthony Cappelli, 59, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on July 19 charges in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and speeding in violation of special regulation. Bail set at $500 surety and pretrial hearing scheduled for July 29.

Anthony Cappelli, 59, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on July 16 charge of leaving the scene of property damage in Vineyard Haven. Pretrial hearing scheduled for July 29.

Nyssa T. Duarte, 19, of Oak Bluffs, admitted to sufficient facts on an Oct. 10 charge in West Tisbury of assault and battery, continued without a finding for one year. Ordered to pay restitution to be determined and a $50 victim/witness assessment fee, not to abuse the alleged victim, and to remain alcohol free with screens and counseling until discharged.

Sofia V. Esnal, 33, of Vineyard Haven, was placed on three months of pretrial probation on June 5 charges in Oak Buffs of larceny by check less than $250 and uttering false check.

Meghan E. Farrell, 24, of Marlborough, was placed on three months of pretrial probation on June 17 charge in Edgartown of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, ordered to pay $300 in restitution. Found not responsible on charge of speeding.

Sharon H. Fisher, 49, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on June 16 charge in Vineyard Haven of assault and battery. Pretrial hearing scheduled for July 28.

Jesse D. Greenstein, 27, of Boston, was arraigned on July 18 charges in Edgartown of drunken driving and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Pretrial hearing scheduled for August 11.

Mitchelle Harper, 42, of Chilmark, had a June 8 charge in Chilmark of assault and battery and assault with a dangerous weapon (broken bottle) dismissed upon request of the commonwealth, alleged victim asserts fifth amendment privilege.

Michael J. McCarthy, 51, of Oak Bluffs, admitted to sufficient facts on an April 18 charge in Vineyard Haven of threat to commit a crime, continued without a finding for one year. Ordered to pay $50 victim/witness assessment and $65 monthly probation services fee, to remain alcohol free with screens, and not to contact the alleged victim. Charge of criminal harassment was dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

Michael McCarthy, 51, of Oak Bluffs, had May 2 charges in Vineyard Haven of criminal harassment and threat to commit a crime dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

Hailee J. McCarthy, 20, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on July 20 charges in Edgartown of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, operating a motor vehicle with license suspended, and person under 21 possessing alcohol. Bail set at $500 and pretrial hearing scheduled for July 29.

Kevin M. McGunnigle, 35, of Hingham, was arraigned on July 18 charges in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and child endangerment while OUI. According to police report filed in court, allegedly had children in the car while driving under the influence. Bail set at $500 and pretrial hearing scheduled for August 12.

Juanita S. Suarez-Espino, 48, of Oak Bluffs, will have a May 18 charge of operating a motor vehicle with license suspended, corrected from operating a motor vehicle with license suspended for OUI, if $250 in costs is paid forthwith.

Curtis D. Wolfe, 27, of Charlton, was arraigned on July 20 charges in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and motor vehicle lights violation. Pretrial hearing scheduled for August 12.

July 22

Marcus E. Bowen, 23, of Worcester, had a May 28 charge in Vineyard Haven of assault and battery on a family/household member dismissed upon request of the commonwealth at the request of alleged victim, who asserted martial privilege.

Kelly Kershaw, 34, of Cape Coral, Fla., was arraigned on July 22 charges in Edgartown of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, speeding, and possessing an open container of alcohol in motor vehicle. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Sept. 26.

Jason Labbe, 36, of Middleboro, pleaded guilty on June 10 charges in Edgartown of failure to stop for police, possessing a class A drug (heroin) and possessing a class B drug (Suboxone), placed on probation for six months, concurrent with case in Wareham, ordered to pay $50 victim/witness assessment fee and to remain drug free with screens.

Erin T. Leone, 33, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on June 17 charges in Oak Bluffs of operating a motor vehicle with registration suspended and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. According to police report filed in court, charge stems from alleged incident between operator of a vehicle and several moped riders Pretrial hearing scheduled for August 25.

Gerald A. Laflamme, 61, of Vineyard Haven, had May 13 charges in Vineyard Haven of assault and battery on a family/household member and intimidating a witness/juror/police officer/court officer dismissed upon request of the commonwealth at request of the alleged victim, failure of alleged victim to cooperate.

Desmond E. Pinkham, 23, of Vineyard Haven, admitted to sufficient facts on March 22 charges in Vineyard Haven of operating a motor vehicle with license suspended and motor vehicle operator refusing to identify themselves, continued without a finding for six months. Ordered to pay $100 in costs, a $50 victim/witness assessment fee and a $50 monthly probation services fee. Charge of trespassing with a motor vehicle dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

Mark J. Premdas, 27, of Oak Bluffs, pleaded guilty on May 23 charges in Oak Bluffs of larceny of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of property damage, sentenced to two years in a house of correction with six months to service, balance suspended two years and placed on probation for two years, 58 days of jail credit given. Defendant ordered to submit DNA and pay $11,000 in restitution jointly and severally with codefendant. According to a police report filed in court, charged with theft of a vehicle, which was later crashed. In two separate other cases, pleaded guilty on May 23 charges in Oak Bluffs of two counts of breaking and entering a vehicle/boat in the nighttime for a felony and two counts of larceny less than $250. Placed on two years of probation, with victim/witness waived and restitution entered in another case. According to a police report filed in court, allegedly broke into parked cars and took prescription medicine.

Joshua G. Stephenson, 29, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on July 21 charge in Oak Bluffs of assault with a dangerous weapon (knife). Pretrial hearing scheduled for August 25.

Catherine A. Todd, 23, of Oak Bluffs, was placed on six months of pretrial probation on a Jan. 15 charge in Edgartown of conspiracy to violate drug law, ordered to remain drug and alcohol free with screens if not in a sober house.

Catherine A. Todd, 23, of Oak Bluffs, was placed on six months of pretrial probation on April 11 charges in Oak Bluffs of larceny by check less than $250, forgery of check and utter false check, and April 14 charges in Oak Bluffs of larceny by check less than $250, forgery of check, and utter false check, ordered to pay $650 in restitution.

July 25

Couri M. Davidson, 39, of Edgartown, was arraigned on July 25 charges in Edgartown of drunken driving, marked lanes violation, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and child endangerment while OUI. According to police report filed in court, charge stems from one-vehicle accident with a child allegedly in the car. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Sept. 2.

Nicholas A. Hathaway, 28, of Edgartown, admitted to sufficient facts on a June 26 charge in oak Bluffs of possessing a class B drug (cocaine), continued without a finding for six months and ordered to pay a $50 victim/witness assessment fee and $50 monthly probation services fee and to be evaluated by office of community corrections.

Stacey Forend, 39, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on June 12 charge in Edgartown of leaving the scene of property damage. Pretrial hearing scheduled for August 29.
