The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

Dec. 12.

Juan Mendez, 36, of Lynn, had a June 18 charge of indecent assault and battery in Oak Bluffs on a person 14 and over dismissed without prejudice following failure to prosecute, alleged victim was not present.

Peter A. Tenant, 59, of Oak Bluffs was found not guilty in a jury trial on a Nov. 16, 2015, charge of assault and battery in Oak Bluffs. Additional charge of assault and battery on a family household member was dismissed upon request of the commonwealth

Dec. 13

Kelly Bodell, 26, of Port Charlotte, Fla. was found not guilty in a bench trial on March 26 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Found not responsible in a bench trial hearing for a marked lanes violation charge on the same date. Found responsible in a bench trial hearing for a charge of speeding in violation of a special regulation, ordered to pay $140.

Lisa E. Reyes, 45, of State College, Pa., admitted sufficient facts on Oct. 18 charge in Oak Bluffs of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, continued without a finding for six months.

Dec. 15

Chrystal L. Angelini-Tomas, 43, of Edgartown was arraigned on Dec. 13 charges in Edgartown of drunken driving, second offense, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and marked lanes violation. Pretrial hearing set for Jan. 13.

Claire I. Kozlowski, 40, of Edgartown, pleaded guilty on Dec. 1 charge in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving. According to a police report filed in court, charge stems from motor vehicle accident at the Tisbury shell station. Ordered to pay $500 in fees and complete 24-day driver education program and to lose drivers license for 45 days. Sufficient facts found on charge of leaving the scene of property damage, continued without a finding. Ordered to complete one year Brains at Risk program. Charge of negligent operation dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

Linda L. Tucker, 57, of Hyannis, found not guilty in a jury trial on an August 23. 2015 charge in Vineyard Haven of assault and battery.

Dec. 16

Michael B. Dunn, 47, of Vineyard Haven had Sept, 24 charges of assault and battery on a family/household member in Vineyard Haven dismissed upon request of the commonwealth (failure of alleged victim to cooperate).

Wyatt S. Hamilton, 22, of Woods Hole had July 29, 2015 charges in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery, trespassing and disorderly conduct dismissed without prejudice upon request of the commonwealth. Dec. 19 Dana S. Olcott, 52, of Oak Bluffs had June charges of assault and battery on a family/household member dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.
