The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

Sept. 11

Michelle D. Plesser, 30, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned on Sept. 10 charge of assault and battery. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Oct. 13.

Nathaniel K. Schneider, 23, of Oak Bluffs, admitted sufficient facts on July 15 charges in West Tisbury of failure to stop for police and negligent operation of motor vehicle, continued without finding for two years. Ordered to pay $300 in fees and $50 monthly probation services fee and complete 20 hours of community service. Found responsible on charges of marked lanes violation, no inspection/sticker, and two counts of speeding in violation of special regulation, ordered to pay $300 in fines/assessments.

Sept. 25

Eric M. Cienciwa, 26, of Wilbraham, admitted sufficient facts on Sept. 9 charge in Chilmark of negligent operation of motor vehicle, continued without a finding for one year. Ordered to complete 20 hours of community service and pay $300 in fees and $50 monthly probation services fee. Charge of drunken driving dismissed upon request of commonwealth and found not responsible on marked lanes violation.

Nicholas Leblanc, 21, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned on Sept. 24 charge in Oak Bluffs of assault. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Nov. 17.

Sept. 28

Candida Henriques, 28, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on June 23 charge in Edgartown of assault and battery. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Nov. 3.

Wagner E. Nunes, 25, of Edgartown, arraigned on August 13 charges in Oak Bluffs of vandalizing property (taxi window) and disorderly conduct. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Dec. 7.

James F. Pringle, 75, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned on Sept. 26 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, negligent operation of motor vehicle, and improper operation of motor vehicle. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Oct. 13.

Sept. 29

James P. Boales, 56, of Aquinnah, admitted sufficient facts on August 12 charge in Aquinnah of negligent operation of motor vehicle, continued without a finding for one year. Ordered to pay $300 in fees and $50 monthly probation services fee. Charge of marked lanes violation dismissed upon request of commonwealth.

Matthew P. Brousseau, 31, of Swedesboro, N.J., arraigned on Sept. 28 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, unlicensed operation of motor vehicle, negligent operation of motor vehicle, improper operation of motor vehicle, and failure to stop/yield. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Nov. 17.

Cathleen Parker, 55, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned on July 4 charge in Oak Bluffs of leaving scene of property damage. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Nov. 20.

Christopher M. Townsend, 27, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on Sept. 28 charges in Oak Bluffs drunken driving, second offense and negligent operation of motor vehicle. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Oct. 27.

Julio A. Ventura, 27, of Everett, arraigned on July 17 charge in Edgartown of assault and battery with serious bodily injury. According to police report filed in court, charge stems from allegedly failing to get out of the way of passing bikers and leaning into a woman, allegedly causing her to crash her bicycle on the bike path near Bend in the Road beach. According to the report she allegedly suffered a serious knee break. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Nov. 17.
