Jason J. Francis, 24, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned on Nov. 25 charge in West Tisbury of assault. Pretrial hearing continued to Jan. 8.

Breno E. Silva, 32, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned on Nov. 23 charges in Edgartown of assault and battery on family/household member and malicious destruction of property more than $250 (tires/car). Bail set at $1,000 and pretrial hearing scheduled for Dec. 29.

Dec. 4

Adema Marcelino, 43, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on Dec. 4 charges in Vineyard Haven of assault and battery on family/household member, strangulation or suffocation, threat to commit a crime, and intimidating a witness/juror/police/court official. According to police report, alleged victim allegedly sustained serious injuries to the head. Defendant held without bail for 120 days prior to trial after stipulating to dangerousness. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Jan. 4.

Dec. 8

Thomas Buckley, 27, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on Nov. 4 charges in Edgartown of negligent operation of motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, and speeding, rate of speed greater than was reasonable and proper. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Dec. 29. Steven A. Flodstrom, 62, of South Walpole, arraigned on Sept. 25 charges in Oak Bluffs of breaking and entering for misdemeanor, malicious destruction of property less than $250, and trespassing. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Jan. 8.

Christopher G. Magee, 54, of Edgartown, arraigned on Nov. 9 charges in Edgartown of possessing to distribute a class A drug (heroin), possessing to distribute a class B drug (suboxone), conspiracy to violate drug law and reckless endangerment of a child. According to police report filed in court, charges stem from warrant issued for Vineyard Haven home to search for illegal drugs. Police allegedly found drugs appearing to be heroin and suboxone. In a separate case, arraigned on Nov. 2 charges in Vineyard Haven of larceny of motor vehicle, larceny more than $250, and improperly removing motor vehicle. According to police report filed in court, allegedly removed 2005 Ford van donated to the fire department for extrication practice and allegedly brought it to be recycled off-Island. Motion hearings scheduled for Jan. 22.

Joshua L. Rogers, 30, of Oak Bluffs, will not be prosecuted on Feb. 10 charge in Oak Bluffs of possessing child pornography, second offense. Defendant was indicted in superior court.

Samantha L. Thurber, 31, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on Nov. 9 charges in Edgartown of conspiracy to violate drug law and reckless endangerment of a child. According to police report filed in court, charges stem from warrant issued for Vineyard Haven home to search for illegal drugs. Police allegedly found drugs appearing to be heroin and suboxone in the home. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Jan. 22.

Lisa I. Vanderwekken, 43, of West Tisbury, arraigned on Oct. 20 charges in West Tisbury of drunken driving and leaving the scene of property damage. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Jan. 22.

Dec. 11

Jesse D. Greenstein, 28, of Boston, found not guilty in a bench trial on July 18, 2016 charge in Edgartown of drunken driving. Charge of negligent operation of motor vehicle dismissed upon request of commonwealth.

Declan H. McBride, 28, of West Tisbury, admitted sufficient facts on June 4 charge in West Tisbury of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, continued without a finding for one year and ordered to pay $300 in fees and $50 monthly probation services fee and to complete 20 hours of community service. Charge of drunken driving dismissed upon request of the commonwealth and found not responsible on marked lanes violation.

Jasmine M. Robinson, 21, of West Tisbury, had Oct. 5 charges in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery on family/household member and vandalizing property dismissed upon request of the commonwealth, alleged victim fails to cooperate.
