The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

Dec. 11

Michelle D. Plesser, 30, of Vineyard Haven had Sept. 10 charge of assault and battery dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

Dec. 12

John Dosky, 58, of Sandy Hook, Conn. had Sept. 19 charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle dismissed upon request of the commonwealth, found not responsible for marked lanes violation, and admitted to sufficient facts in charge of drunk driving. Ordered to pay $600 in fees, complete driver education program, and lose licence for 45 days.

Wilson M. Perdona, 25, of Vineyard Haven arraigned on Dec. 10 charge of drug possession class B (cocaine). Pretrial hearing scheduled for Jan 4.

David A. Grant, 54, of Edgartown arraigned on Dec. 9 charges of drunk driving, marked lane violation and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Jan. 11, 2018.

Dec. 14

Benjamin Stafford, 25, of Oak Bluffs found not guilty on June 24 charges of drunk driving and negligent operation of a motor vehicle and not responsible for failure to yield at an intersection.

Justin J. Kuruvilla, 35, of Brooklyn will not be prosecuted on Sept. 7 charge of drunk driving.

Aaron Bezahler, 22, of Edgartown will not be prosecuted on April 20 charge of manslaughter.

Dec. 15

Sofia V. Esnal, 35, of Vineyard Haven admitted to sufficient facts on charge of larceny over $250, with fines and fees waived in lieu of restitution of $1,800 paid directly to victim. Breaking and entering charged dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

Roger Mattson, 20, of Aquinnah had July 3 charge of drunk driving dismissed upon request of the commonwealth, and found not responsible for moped violation.

Stephen S. Dumont, 49, had August 17 charge of assault and battery on a household member dismissed upon prior arrangement (valor act).

James Gibson, 41, of Sarasota, Fla. had Oct. 6 charge of assault and battery on a household member dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

Barnaby W. Suman, 54, of Aquinnah arraigned on charges of drunk driving, negligent operation of a vehicle and speeding rate of speed exceeding posted limit. Pretrial hearing scheduled for March 22, 2018.

Cody C. Potter, 22, of Fairhaven arraigned on Dec. 14 charges of drunk driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Jan. 18, 2018.
