The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

Jan. 2

Zhivko Sakaliev, 22, of Edgartown, arraigned on Dec. 28 charges in Vineyard Haven of receiving stolen property, larceny more than $250 (Bose speaker system), and larceny from building. Bail set at $600 and pretrial hearing scheduled for Jan. 11.

Jan. 4

Anna Greene, also known as Anna Klara Lindstrom, 48, of West Tisbury, arraigned on Jan. 2 charge in Vineyard Haven of assault and battery on family/household member. Ordered to pay $500 bail. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Feb. 12.

Jan. 5

James W. Hart, 62, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on Jan. 3 charges in Oak Bluffs of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Jan. 26.

Zadoc E. Moreis, 31, of Vineyard Haven, pleaded guilty on Oct. 29 charge in Edgartown of resisting arrest, sentenced to 18 months in a house of correction, suspended one year and placed on probation for one year, ordered to remain alcohol free with screens. Guilty plea filed for one year on charge of disorderly conduct. In a separate case, April 22 charges in Oak Bluffs of interfering with police officer, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest were dismissed upon request of commonwealth.

Joshua R. Potter, 31, of Oak Bluffs, admitted sufficient facts on June 2 charge in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, continued without finding for one year ordered to complete driver alcohol education program and lose license for 45 days, and pay $600 in fees and $65 monthly probation services fee Charge of negligent operation of motor vehicle dismissed upon request of commonwealth and found not responsible on marked lanes violation.

Jan. 8

Jennifer L. Griffiths, 30, of Vineyard Haven, found not guilty by Hon. J. Thomas Kirkman in a bench trial on Oct. 26, 2016 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving and negligent operation of motor vehicle. Found not responsible on marked lanes violation.

Julio A. Ventura, 17, of Everett, placed on one year of pretrial probation on July 17 charge in Edgartown of assault and battery with serious bodily injury, ordered to remain alcohol free and pay $1,380 in restitution.
