Cardoza, 28, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on May 11 charges in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery on family/household member, vandalizing property (vehicle), and intimidating a witness/juror/police/court official. Bail set at $500 and ordered to stay away from/not to contact alleged victim, must have GPS in place prior to release on bail. Pretrial hearing set for May 29.

Marco A. Gonzalez, 31, of Edgartown, arraigned on May 12 charge in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery on family/household member. Bail set at $500 and pretrial hearing scheduled for June 22.

Walisson B. Neves, 26, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on May 13 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, negligent operation of motor vehicle, failure to stop for police, marked lanes violation, and unlicensed operation of motor vehicle. Pretrial hearing scheduled for June 21.

Marco Rivandeneria, 44, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on May 13 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, negligent operation of motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, and unlicensed operation of motor vehicle. According to police report filed in court, charges stem from motor vehicle crash at New York avenue and Temihegan avenue in Oak Bluffs. Pretrial hearing scheduled for June 21.

May 15

Luis Americo Lopes, 35, of Vineyard Haven, found not guilty in a jury trial on June 28 charge in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving (second offense). Found guilty on charge of negligent operation of motor vehicle, placed on probation for one year and ordered to pay $300 in fees and $50 monthly probation services fee. Found responsible on motor vehicle lights violation, ordered to pay $35 fine/assessment.

Richard E. Verville Jr., 44, of Hanson, admitted to sufficient facts on April 28 charge in Edgartown of drunken driving, continued without a finding for two years and ordered to pay $600 in fees, $65 monthly probation services fee for one year and $50 monthly probation services fee second year. Ordered to complete driver alcohol education course and lose license for 45 days, starting May 21, and to remain alcohol free with no screens. Charge of negligent operation of motor vehicle dismissed upon request of commonwealth, and found not responsible on marked lanes violation and speeding in violation of special regulation.

May 17

Kelly Kershaw, 36, of Cape Coral, Fla., was found not guilty in a jury trial on June 22, 2016 charge in Edgartown of drunken driving. Found guilty on charge of negligent operation of motor vehicle, ordered to pay $450 fee. Found responsible on speeding and possessing open container of alcohol in motor vehicle, ordered to pay $550 in fines/assessments. Found not responsible on marked lanes violation.

Karen L. Ward, 59, of West Tisbury, arraigned on May 14 charge in West Tisbury of assault and battery. Pretrial hearing scheduled for June 18.

May 18

James W. Hart, 22, of Vineyard Haven, arraigned on May 6 charges in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving (second offense), leaving scene of property injury, and negligent operation of motor vehicle. Pretrial hearing scheduled for June 1.

May 21

Heidi E. Filipowic, 55, of Edgartown, was placed on six months of pretrial probation on Jan. 14 charges in Edgartown of assault and intimidating a witness/juror/police/court official, ordered to stay away from alleged victim.

Kevin L. Galligan, 24, of West Tisbury, will have March 1 charge in West Tisbury of possessing a class A drug (heroin) dismissed upon request of commonwealth following allowance of motion to suppress evidence.

Thomas R. Wilkins, 23, of Oak Bluffs, had Feb. 12 charge in Oak bluffs of operating under the influence of drugs (xanax), second offense, dismissed upon request of commonwealth. Admitted sufficient facts on negligent operation of motor vehicle, continued without a finding for 18 months and ordered to pay $300 in fees and $50 monthly probation services fee, letters regarding counseling compliance delivered to probation. Found not responsible on marked lanes violation.
