Dec. 6

Daniel A. Ben David, 56, of Oak Bluffs, pleaded guilty to Aug. 27, 2017 charges of assault and battery on person 60 plus/disabled. Sentenced to one year in a house of correction, sentence suspended, and placed on probation for 18 months. Ordered to stay away from/not contact victim, remain alcohol free with screens, attend counseling until professionally discharged, and submit to random alcohol testing as required.

Tiago P. Braga, 34, of Edgartown was arraigned on Nov. 28 charge in Oak Bluffs of violating an abuse prevention order. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Jan. 7, 2019.

Matthew Brown, 48, of Vineyard Haven was arraigned on Nov. 25 charge in Vineyard Haven of violating an abuse prevention disorder. Pretrial hearing set for Jan 7, 2019.

Lara G. Dario, 51, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on Dec. 6 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, 2nd offense, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and marked lanes violation. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Dec. 17.

Marco A. Gonzalez, 32, of Edgartown, had May 12 charge in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery on a family/household member dismissed upon request of the commonwealth, failure of alleged victim to cooperate.

Dec. 7

Andrew P. Sundberg, 39, of Arlington, Neb., admitted to sufficient facts on Sept. 10 charges in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving and leaving the scene of property damage, continued without a finding until Dec. 5, 2019. Ordered to complete a 24-day driver alcohol education program and to lose license for 45 days, to pay $600 in fees and a $65 monthly probation services fee for one year. A charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle was dismissed upon request of commonwealth and found not responsible for possessing an open container of alcohol in vehicle, and a marked lanes violation.

Zacharia K. Wilson, 29, of Kingston, R.I., admitted to sufficient facts on Dec. 20, 2017 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving and negligent operation of a motor vehicle, continued without a finding until Dec. 8, 2019. Ordered to complete a 24-day driver alcohol education program and to lose license for 45 days, to pay $650 in fees and a $65 monthly probation services fee for one year. Found not responsible on charges of marked lanes violation, speeding, and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Dec. 10

Michael Brand, 64, of Edgartown was arraigned on Sept. 15 charges in Edgartown of assault and battery. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Jan. 25, 2019. Ordered to pay $150 counsel fee.

Brendan T. Phaneuf, 37, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on Aug. 8 charges in Vineyard Haven of accosting/annoying another person, assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Jan. 25, 2019.
