Marco A. Gonzalez, 23, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on March 9 charges in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery on family/household member and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (small couch). Bail set at $800 surety. Pretrial hearing set for April 19. Further condition no abuse of alleged victim and abide by any active restraining order conditions.

March 15

Daniel Gallant, 36, Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on March 15 charges in Vineyard Haven of assault and battery on family/household member, intimidate witness/juror/police/court official and strangulation or suffocation. Bail set at $1,000 surety. Pretrial hearing set for May 9.

March 18

Benjamin J. Ferry, 28, of West Tisbury, was arraigned on March 16 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving second offense, negligent operation of motor vehicle, resisting arrest, and assault and battery. Status review hearing scheduled for May 3.

March 19

John S. McCarthy, 37, of West Tisbury was found not guilty in a jury trial on Dec. 23, 2017 charge in West Tisbury of drunken driving. Mr. McCarthy was found not responsible on charge of lights violation. Mr. McCarthy was found responsible for speeding. Ordered to pay $100 fine/assessment.

March 22

Alberty D. Thomas Jr., 39, of West Tisbury, was arraigned on March 20 charges in West Tisbury of assault and battery. Bail set at $500. Pretrial hearing set for April 26.

Anderson S. Vieira, 34, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on charges in Vineyard Haven of OUI drugs, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, uninsured motor vehicle, operating motor vehilce with regulation suspended, and motor vehicle not meeting RMV safety standards. Pretrial hearing set for May 10.

Susan McCombe, 54, of Vineyard Haven, had Feb. 23 charges in Vineyard Haven of assault and battery on a family/household member, malicious destruction of property less than $1,200, threat to commit crime, and intimidate witness/juror/police/court official dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

Gilmar E. Coelho, 31, of Oak Bluffs, admitted to sufficient facts on Feb. 17 charge in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, continued without a finding for one year. Ordered to pay $600 in fees, $65 monthly probation services fee, complete 24 day driver’s education course and 45 day loss of license. Had charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and operation of a motor vehicle with license suspended dismissed upon request of the commonwealth. Found not responsible on charge of marked lanes violation.

Rachel R. Wild, 36, of Vineyard Haven admitted to sufficient facts on Jan. 12 charge in Vineyard Haven of assault and battery on a police officer, continued without a finding for one year. Ordered to pay $50 monthly probation services fee. Charges of assault and battery on family/household member, resisting arrest and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (clothing iron) dismissed upon request of the commonwealth in light of plea to other count.

Daisy E. Perez, 39, of Vineyard Haven was placed on pretrial probation for six months on Feb. 11, 2018 charges in Edgartown of assault and battery on family/household member and intimidate witness/juror/police/court official. Further condition no abuse of alleged victim.

March 25

Anthony M. Cardoza, 29, of Vineyard Haven, pleaded not guilty to Feb. 7 charges in Vineyard Haven of criminal harassment and obscene telephone calls/electronic communication. Pretial hearing set for April 15.

Benjamin S. Stimson, 23, of Pawlet, VT, ordered to complete 20 hours of community service on Sept. 15, 2018 charge in West Tisbury of negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Charge to be dismissed if court costs/restitution paid by May 22. Found responsible on charges of marked lanes violation and speeding, ordered to pay $100 fine/assessment.

Cailin E. Lenane, 28, of Whitman, admitted to sufficient facts on Sept. 27, 2018 charge in Oak Bluffs of resisting arrest, continued without a finding for six months. Ordered to pay $50 victim/witness assessment, remain alcohol free with screens and continue counseling. Had charges of assault and battery on police officer and disorderly conduct dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

Kurt Tesch, 60, of West Tisbury, admitted to sufficient facts on July 27, 2018 charges in West Tisbury of lewd, wanton and lascivious conduct. Continued without a finding until Sept. 25. Further condition to continue counseling.
