Joshua L. Brown, 33, of Attleboro was arraigned on March 23 charge in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery. Pretrial hearing scheduled for April 5. Bail set at $500.

Gilmar R. Lima, 39, of Oak Bluffs was arraigned on March 24 charge in Oak bluffs of assault and battery on family/household member. Pretrial hearing set for May 10. Bail set at $500.

Lilian Silveira, 56, of Edgartown, was arraigned on March 24 charges in Edgartown of assault and battery on family/household member, breaking and entering for misdemeanor, operating motor vehicle with license suspended, trespassing with motor vehicle, and possessing an open container of alcohol in motor vehicle. Pretrial hearing scheduled for April 19. Bail set at $3,000. Further conditions no driving and stay at least 100 yards away from and no abuse/contact with alleged victim.

John C. Wallace, 23, of Edgartown, admitted to sufficient facts on Dec. 23, 2018 charge in Edgartown of drunken driving, continued without a finding for one year. Ordered to pay $600 in fines, complete 24-day drivers education course and 45-day loss of license. Charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle dismissed upon request of the request of the commonwealth. Found not responsible for marked lanes violation.

Jeremie W. Robinson, 38, of Edgartown, had Aug. 28, 2018 charges in Edgartown of assault and battery on family/household member and intimidate witness/juror/police/court official dismisissed upon request of the commonwealth, without prejudice.

Kira Choate, 34, of Chilmark, admitted to sufficient facts on Aug. 30, 2018 charge in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, continued without a finding for one year. Ordered to pay $600 in fees, complete 24-day drivers education course and 45-day loss of license. Charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle dismissed upon request of the commonwealth. Found not responsible for marked lanes violation.

Robert F. Rose, 31, of West Yarmouth, had Sept. 24, 2018 charges in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, second offense and negligent operation of a motor vehicle dismissed upon request of the commonwealth, insufficient evidence to proceed. Found not responsible for speeding in violation of a special regulation.

Welton Holeaker, 25, of Oak Bluffs admitted to sufficient facts on Jan 1, 2019 charge in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, continued without a finding for one year. Ordered to pay $600 in fines, complete 24-day drivers education course and 45-day loss of license. Charges of OUI-drugs and negligent operation of a motor vehicle dismissed upon request of the commonwealth. Found not responsible for marked lanes violation.

John R. Jordan, 51, of Tampa, FL, was arraigned on March 27 charge in Edgartown of assault and battery on family/household member. Bail set at $500. Pretrial hearing set for April 26.

March 29

Orlando K. Hernayz, 27, of Oak Bluffs, pleaded guilty to July 28, 2018 charges of assault and battery, serious bodily injury and strangulation or suffocation. Sentenced to 2 and a half years in a house of correction, one year to serve, balance suspended 2 years. Nunc pro tunc to October 26, 2018, concurrent with another case. In a separate docket, Mr. Hernayz pleaded guilty to July 29, 2018 charge in Oak Bluffs of intimidating witness/juror/police/court official. Placed on probation for two years. Victim/witness assessment and probation services fee waived.
