The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court:

May 6

James Valente, 56, of Port Jefferson, N.Y., was arraigned on May 4 charges in Vineyard Haven of disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and two counts of assault and battery on a police officer. Bail set at $500. Pretrial hearing scheduled for June 28.

Renee E. Habekost, 51, of Edgartown, was arraigned on May 4 charges in Edgartown of drunken driving, marked lanes violation and negligent operation of motor vehicle. Pretrial hearing scheduled for June 28.

Steven Coe, 28, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on May 3, 2019 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of property damage and marked lanes violation. Pretrial hearing scheduled for June 21.

May 9

Robert C. Williams, 58, of Oak Bluffs, had Oct. 15, 2018 charges in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (slide board) and assault and battery on person 60-plus/disabled dismissed upon request of the commonwealth, failure of alleged victim to cooperate.

Stephen W. Moore, 59, of Vineyard Haven, had Oct. 19, 2018 charges in Vineyard Haven of possession of a class B drug (controlled substance) and distribution of a class D drug (marijuana) dismissed upon request of the commonwealth, in light of plea in a different case. In a separate docket, Mr. Moore pleaded guilty to Feb. 17, 2019 charges in Vineyard Haven of two counts of assault and battery on a police officer. Sentenced to one year in a house of correction, six months to serve. Balance suspended until May 6, 2020. Defendant placed on probation for one year. Ordered to undergo substance abuse evaluation and any treatment as mandated by the probation department. Probation services fee waived. Charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (plant poker), assault and battery, threat to commit crime, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

Priscilla J. Warren, 66, of Oak Bluffs, had August 30, 2018 charge in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery on family/household member dismissed upon request of the commonwealth, failure of alleged victim to cooperate.

May 10

Lilian DaSilveira, 56, of Edgartown, pleaded guilty to Oct. 27 charges in Edgartown of drunken driving, third offense and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Sentenced to five months in a house of correction, committed (47 days credit). Charge of operating motor vehicle with license suspended dismissed upon request of the commonwealth. Found not responsible for marked lanes violation. In a separate docket, Ms. DaSilveira had March 24 charges in Edgartown of assault and battery on family/household member, breaking and entering for misdemeanor, operating motor vehicle with license suspended, trespassing with motor vehicle, and possessing an open container of alcohol in motor vehicle, failure of witness to cooperate.

May 13

Paulo H. Kinaki, 21, of West Tisbury, pleaded guilty to April 9, 2018 charges in Edgartown of assault and battery on family/household member and strangulation or suffocation. Sentenced to six months in a house of correction, sentence suspended. Defendant placed on probation for 18 months and ordered to complete batterer’s program. Ordered to pay $50 victim/witness fee and $1,308 in restitution. Monthly probation services fee waived if restitution paid. Bail applied to restitution.

Spencer A. Delangavant-Sahr, 25, of Oak Bluffs, had July 29, 2018 charges in Oak Bluffs of distributing a class A drug (heroin) and conspiracy to violate drug law dismissed upon lack of prosecution.

Dalibor Petrovic, 31, homeless, was ordered to complete eight hours of community service for May 2 charges in Oak Bluffs of trespassing and disorderly conduct. Charges to be dismissed if community service completed by June 19.
