The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court:

Dec. 2

Samuel A. Stellmach, 29, of Seekonk was found not guilty in a bench trial on April 21, 2018 charges in Edgartown of drunken driving and negligent operation of a motor vehicle after defendant motion for required finding. Found responsible on charge of marked lanes violation. Ordered to pay $100 fine.

Dec. 6

Ademar Marcelino, 45, of Vineyard Haven pleaded guilty to Dec. 4, 2017 charges in Vineyard Haven of assault and battery on a family/household member and strangulation or suffocation. Sentenced to 2.5 years in a house of correction, 461 days to serve. Balance suspended for 2.5 years of probation. Further conditions include stay away from and no contact with victim, remain alcohol free with screens and attend counseling until professionally discharged. Ordered to pay $50 victim/witness assessment fee. Charges of threat to commit a crime and intimidating a witness/juror/police/court official dismissed upon request of the commonwealth.

Christopher F. Sweeney, 36, of Carver pleaded guilty to July 22 charge in Vineyard Haven of assault and battery. Sentenced to one year in a house of correction, sentence suspended one year. Placed on probation with fee waived if proof of SNAP benefits provided. Restitution to be determined. Further condition to stay away from and have no contact with victim.

Matthew W. Leonard, 37, of Oak Bluffs admitted to sufficient facts on Sept. 27 charge in Edgartown of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, continued without a finding for six months. Ordered to pay $300 in fees and $50 monthly probation supervision fee. Found not responsible on charge of no inspection sticker.

Aaron J. Tripp, 30, of Edgartown was arraigned on Oct. 21 charge in Vineyard Haven of malicious damage to a motor vehicle. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Jan. 17, 2020.

Carrie Natusch, 45, of Edgartown was arraigned on Oct. 21 charge in Vineyard Haven of malicious damage to a motor vehicle. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Jan. 17, 2020.

Hamilton M. Walker, 22, of Vineyard Haven pleaded not guilty to Dec. 4 charges in Vineyard Haven of assault and battery on family/household member, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Dec. 30. Dec. 9 Erika J. Chancellor, 22, of Agawam was arraigned on Dec. 8 charges in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Jan. 10, 2020.

Dec. 12

Samara S. DeOliviera, 21, of Edgartown was placed on probation for one year on May 25 charges in Edgartown of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Responsible for charge of failure to slow down. Restitution to be determined.

Deborah Travers, 42, of Vineyard Haven was arraigned on Dec. 9 charge in Vineyard Haven of assault and battery on family/household member. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Jan. 23, 2020.

Stephen E. Sullivan, 30, of Quincy was arraigned on Dec. 11 charges in Edgartown of speeding rate of speed exceeding posted speed limit, failure to stop for police, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, operating motor vehicle with license suspended and number plate violation to conceal ID. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Jan. 9, 2020.

Dec. 13

Andrelino T. Orcutt, 31, of West Tisbury had June 12, 2018 charge in Oak Bluffs of failing to register as a sex offender dismissed upon request of the commonwealth, defendant consents.

Miguel A. Gordon, 48, of East Falmouth was placed on probation for one year on Dec. 10, 2018 charge in Edgartown of receiving stolen property greater than $1,200 (grinder pump).

Julianne Fisher, 65, of Edgartown had August 15 charge in West Tisbury of disorderly conduct dismissed upon request of the commonwealth, defendant consents.

Jennifer Lehman, 40 of Vineyard Haven had August 15 charge in West Tisbury of disorderly conduct dismissed upon request of the commonwealth, defendant consents.

Teo G. Reidy, 24, of Vineyard Haven admitted to sufficient facts on Nov. 30 charge in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, continued without a finding for one year. Ordered to pay $600 in fees and $65 monthly probation supervision fee. Further conditions to complete 24-day driver alcohol education course, 24-question evaluation and 45-day loss of license. Charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle dismissed upon request of the commonwealth. Found not responsible on charges of unregistered motor vehicle, possessing an open container of alcohol in the motor vehicle and no inspection sticker.

Dec. 16

Joao Orcutt, 36, of Oak Bluffs admitted to sufficent facts on Jan. 7 charge in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery on family/household member, continued without a finding for six months. Ordered to pay $65 monthly probation supervision fee and $50 victim/witness assessment. Further conditions to include continued counseling until professionally discharged and signed releases with probation department.

Marta DeOliveira, 40, of Vineyard Haven was arraigned on Nov. 3 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Jan. 21, 2020.
